Mia Liana Garcia is an artist and STEM student based in Nashville, Tennessee. She received a BFA in Painting and Drawing at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in 2019, and she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at Middle Tennessee State University. Mia’s practice haphazardly blends the arts and sciences, with her work acting primarily as a tool (or toy) for attempting to understand the world around us.

My work playfully explores the natural and social sciences in a blissfully futile attempt to grasp something grounding. The quest for knowledge in a wobbly reality.
