Mia Liana Garcia is a part time artist and part time research scientist based in Nashville, Tennessee. She received a BFA in Painting and Drawing at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in 2019, and a BS in Health Science at Middle Tennessee State University in 2025. Mia’s practice blends the arts and sciences, with her work acting primarily as a tool (or toy) for attempting to understand the world around us.

My work playfully explores the sciences in a fun, cute, futile attempt to grasp something grounding.
